The Most Hilarious Deer Hunting Story Ever Penned (You Have to Hear This)

You might as well get used to the sight of hunter's orange, as that's the color of Fall around here. Well, hunter's orange, camouflage and Purple and Gold!!! Geaux Tigers!

Buck fever has infected every red-blooded hunter throughout the Bayou State.

In Louisiana's Area 2, archers have ruled the woods since October 1 and the special season for Youth and Veterans, which began Saturday, is running through this Friday October 17.

Beginning this Saturday, October 18, Primitive Weapons season will begin and run through October 24. After that, it's modern firearms from October 25 through January 11, 2026.

Considering the nearly 275,000 licensed deer hunters we have in Louisiana, and the length of our season, it's fair to say that you'll likely encounter someone in pursuit of that "Turdy Point Buck" at the coffee pot at a local convenience store.

However, it's highly unlikely that any of these hunters will make an attempt at a "live" harvest of a deer, like the gentleman in this hilarious story.

Though the story has circulated on Facebook several years now, I'm still convinced it might be the funniest story every penned.

The sad part is that I can't really even confirm it ever truly happened.  Even Snopes can't validate the true author of the original story.

Course, it really doesn't matter who wrote it, or even if it's true, because once you've heard the story, it's something that will stay with you for the rest of your life.
