Fundraiser Set for Bossier Deputy Struck by Vehicle at School
Last month, Bossier Sheriff’s Deputy Daniel Golden was injured in the line of duty. The 37 year old officer was struck by a vehicle while he was directing traffic in front of Platt Elementary School on January 24th just before 7 a.m. According to the Shreveport Times, Golden suffered a broken leg and head injuries (including a concussion). He was treated at Ochsner LSU Health Shreveport and is currently trying to recover from his injuries. Unfortunately, the road to wellness for Deputy Golden will likely be a long and expensive one.
That's why the awesome people at Sonic are hosting a fundraiser for Daniel and his family. On Tuesday, February 19th, at the Sonic locations in Haughton, Benton and in Bossier City will donate a portion of their proceeds directly to Deputy Golden and his family. If you can't make the time to grab a foot-long chili-cheese for a great cause, the fine folks at Barksdale Federal Credit Union would love to take your donation to help out this incredible family.
