Four Northwest Louisiana High School Football Teams Still Alive in State Playoffs

And then there were four.  After the first couple weeks of Louisiana High School Football State Playoffs we still have four local Northwest teams who have either earned their way to the State Championship game or only have only one more game standing between them and the Dome!  

Here's how things stand now.  In 5A action, #2 Parkway will travel to #14 Covington tonight at 7:00 for the semi-final game.  Win this one, and Parkway will play next Saturday, December 14 at 8:00 p.m. in the Super Dome for the Championship.

Also in semi-finals action tonight in Class 1A, #1 Haynesville is headed to #5 Kentwood at 7:00 p.m. Win this one and they play in the championship game next Friday, December 13 at 12:30 p.m.

In Division 1 of the "Select Schools" designation, #2 Byrd has already earned a berth in the State Championship game with #5 Archbishop Rummel at the Super Dome next Thursday, December 12 at 8:30 p.m.

Also competing as a "Select School" in Division 3, #2 Calvary Baptist Academy has won a seat at the Championship table when they take on #4 Archbishop Hannan next Thursday, December 12 at 12:30 p.m. in the Dome.
