FedEx Responds To Calls For Them To Fire Driver Who Stopped A Flag Burning

Do you remember the viral video of the FedEx driver who stopped a flag burning? His name is Matt Uhrin and he was driving by a protest against the Dakota Access Pipeline when he saw a few people attempting to burn an American Flag. That's when Matt jumped out of his vehicle with a fire extinguisher to put out the fire and take the flag.

Because of his actions he's received praise from across the country but there's also been a group demanding FedEx fire the driver. They're saying Matt Uhrin by using force to take a flag that didn’t belong to him, he committed a class C felony robbery.

FedEx has now responded about the future of the drivers job stating...

We have reviewed the matter in Iowa City involving driver Matt Uhrin. He remains a FedEx employee & we have no plans to change his status.
