Coupons for hamburgers and shakes to the new Grub Burger will also be handed out. The newly-open restaurant will be holding a fundraiser for Roy’s Kids the following Monday, March 21st.

Roy’s Kids is a Shreveport charity that’s helped hundreds of needy kids have presents to open on Christmas Day. The charitable organization was created in 2010 by Shreveport businessman, Mike Powell, after he saw the need to help area families. Powell, who grew up with a single mother who struggled to make ends meet, named the organization after his brother who died on Christmas several years ago. Since its creation, Roy’s Kids have donated thousands of toys to families across the area to open on Christmas Day. The organization also helps with needs for less fortunate families year round.
