Each weekday morning on Kiss Country, we give you the latest entertainment news from Nashville, New York City and Hollywood!

Star Trek legend Leonard Nimoy passed away Friday at age 83.  He played Spock for almost 50 years on TV and in eight movies. In addition to being an accomplished actor, Nimoy was also a poet, a singer and a photographer. One of our favorites, was Nimoy’s rendition of Johnny Cash’s I Walk the Line. One thing we know for sure, he lived long and he prospered.

Maddie & Tae celebrated in a very peculiar way after finding out Girl in a Country Song had hit Number One.  Tae Dye said, quote, "We went to a restaurant and got a big slice of cheesecake and ate the whole thing and probably cried for about 10 minutes." That was all following a Shania Twain concert. Not a bad way to celebrate!

Rascal Flatts may get to work with a rock legend. Jay Demarcus told Fox 5 in Vegas last week, quote, "We've been talking to Steven Tyler a little bit.  We are hoping to do something with him in the future."

Miranda LambertGwen Sebastian, and RaeLynn got matching "musical note" tattoos on their forearms at a tour stop in Oklahoma.  Miranda posted an Instagram pic and wrote, "I love @RaeLynnOfficial and @GwenSebastian.  Inked in perfect harmony!  #SisterInk  #TattoosInTulsa  #CertifiedPlatinumTour"
