Each weekday morning on Kiss Country, we give you the latest entertainment news from Nashville, New York City and Hollywood!

As expected, Fifty Shades of Grey dominated (see what I did there?!?!) the box office this weekend, bringing in $81.7 million in its first three days of release. That's the best Presidents Day opening weekend of all time… the second-biggest February debut ever… and the fourth-biggest R-rated debut in history. I guess you could say they ‘spanked’ the competition! Of course, American Sniper was still in the hunt with $16.4M bringing it to $304M in it’s 8th week!

Ok, so let me get this right… The Saturday Night Live 40th anniversary special ran on a Sunday?!?! Explain that to me! By the way, it was 3½ hours long! Now I understand it was a lot of fun and pretty much everyone who’s still alive that had ever been on the show was there, but I was too exhausted after the Krewe of Highland parade to watch. But I’m sure it was good and if you need proof, we’ve got plenty of video at mykisscountry937.com!

Finally, (it was a slow entertainment news weekend) this year's Oscar gift bag is worth $125,000! Some of the swag Oscar goers will receive includes a $14,500 train ride through the Canadian Rockies, a $20,000 package that will have Enigma Life founder Olessia Kantor fly out to meet each nominee to go over their 2015 horoscope, analyze dreams and teach them mind control techniques. Other items in the swag bag include a $250 Haze Vaporizer and a $250 electrical appliance that one just might find in your bedside table…
