Shreveport is pretty clean... according to a recent index that visually assesses community cleanliness.

The City of Shreveport scored very well in Shreveport Green's annual Community appearance index.  The index was designed by the Keep America Beautiful campaign and assesses overall community cleanliness through indicators like litter and illegal signs.

Almost 120 square miles of Shreveport was surveyed and scored 1.36 on a scale of one to four (1 being a perfect score.)  The score means little to no litter.

Last year, seven zip codes were surveyed and the City of Shreveport scored 1.81.
