Railroad Repairs: Why LA 3015 Will Be Shut Down for a Full Day
DeSoto Parish drivers might have to "take the long way" this coming Monday while repair work is being done on a heavily traveled railroad crossing.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has just issued a notice to all motorists that this coming Monday, October 27, LA 3015, just west of the intersection at LA 175, at the CPKC railroad crossing in DeSoto Parish, will be closed.
DOTD advises that this full closure will run from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm, Monday, October 27 only, and is necessary to allow crews with the railroad company to perform repairs to the crossing.
Appropriate detour signage will be in place as all vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route.

As with all projects of this type, the work will be performed "Weather Permitting", so any inclement weather could delay, extend, or alter in other ways the scheduled work day/hours.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.
Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
