Louisiana Icon James Burton Is Bringing Legends to Bossier

James Burton, hands down, is one of the most recognizable and influential people in the history of Northwest Louisiana. From the Louisiana Hayride to Rick Nelson to Elvis, James has been a history making rock and roll icon. There are stories for days from legendary guitar players like Keith Richards to Jimmy Paige about the impact James had on them and their playing styles. The fact he's one of ours is just awesome!

And one thing James does for our area is the James Burton International Guitar Festival. James gets together with his famous buddies and up-and-coming stars for a huge concert to raise money for charity. This year, the event is going down at the Horseshoe Riverdome in Bossier City at 8 pm (doors open at 7 pm) and will feature incredible artists such as 14-time Grammy winner and Billboard Century Award recipient Emmylou Harris, American Idol standout John Foster, Johnny Owens, Marty Haggard and, of course, James.

Part of the proceeds from this concert will go to the James Burton Foundation - which supports musical education including donating guitars and providing musical instruction. In short - it's a GREAT time for a great cause!
