Today is Earth Day. It's kind of hard to find something funny about Earth Day, but leave it up to Ellen to come up with an ironic Earth Day Honor for her "greenest" employee!

In the video, Ellen gives her custodian a well-deserved pat on the back for his Earth-friendly actions... but follows that up with an unusual way to honor someone on Earth Day.

Then she breaks into her "What's wrong with these signs" bit for a good laugh.

BTW, Ellen took a famous selfie at the Academy Awards... and for Earth Day, NASA is extending a selfie invitation.
