Chimp Haven – Chimpanzee Discovery Days

Here's another fun event for the kids! This Saturday at Chimp Haven in Keithville enjoy Chimpanzee Discovery Days. Fun for the entire family and best of all FREE! During Discovery Days we are able to view the chimpanzees in their naturalistic environment and talk to the staff about the chimpanzees’ personalities.

Chimpanzee Discovery Day

Free and open to the public, visitors will be able to view the chimpanzees in their naturalistic environment as they forage for fruit, vegetables and leaves, and talk to staff about the chimpanzees’ personalities and natural behavior.  Join us in 2012 for Chimpanzee Discovery Day. The dates and themes include:

June 16, Vacation at the Beach
September 15, Health and Exercise
October 20, Harvest Festival
November 17, Thankful for Enrichment support Chimp Haven’s Education Program.

Chimp Chat & Chew

A new event following Chimpanzee Discovery Days, called “Chimp Chat & Chew”, was launched in March, 2010. Chimp Chat & Chew includes a behind the scenes tour, lunch and a presentation by a staff member.  The 2012 Chimp Chat & Chew dates are as follows: March 17, April 21, May 19, June 16, September 15, and November 17. Fees ($30 adult/$15 child).
