Carrie Fisher in ‘Stable’ Condition, Says Mother Debbie Reynolds
Some good news has emerged for Star Wars and Carrie Fisher fans coming out of the holiday weekend: legendary actress Debbie Reynolds, mother to Fisher, has revealed that her daughter's condition has been upgraded to "stable" following a heart attack which sent Fisher to the intensive care unit of a Los Angeles area hospital.
"Carrie is in stable condition," the 84-year-old entertainer revealed in a tweet. "If there is a change, we will share it. For all her fans & friends. I thank you for your prayers & good wishes."
Fisher was on a plane flying from London to Los Angeles when she suffered a heart attack at one point during the trip. CPR had to be administered for the duration of the flight before the plane landed at LAX. Upon landing, the 60-year-old actress was rushed to the hospital by paramedics where she was listed in critical condition and had to be put in the ICU ward.
Thousands of well-wishers took to social media to send positive vibes to Fisher and her family, including Star Wars co-stars Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford.
