Car Chase Ends In Arrest After Suspect Jumps Fence Into Barksdale

After a brief car chase, a wanted man is arrested after jumping into Barksdale Air Force Base.
Bobby Henry, III, was wanted on multiple warrants for auto thefts and burglaries across Bossier Parish and Texarkana. He and his alleged accomplice, Chelsea Remedies, had been caught on camera stealing tools in Bossier Parish. They are also wanted in connection with multiple vehicle thefts. Including the alleged theft of a Honda Civic from and elderly woman in Texarkana. Authorities also say they stole the woman's purse.
The pair are also accused of stealing from hardware stores like Home Depot and Lowes. Investigators believe that they brought the items they stole to Bossier Parish pawn stores to sell them.
On Monday afternoon, Henry and Remedies were observed in a stolen vehicle by authorities. At that point, Haughton Police attempted to pull them over. But the suspects sped away, starting a car chase.
After a short chase, the vehicle crashed when the driver took it off the road and into a wooded area. The crashed happened near Barksdale Air Force Base, just off Union Texas Road.
Immediately after the crash, Remedies was taken into custody, but Henry escaped the scene. Multiple units from the Haughton Police Department, as well as Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office pursued Henry. They deployed K-9 units, drones, and were eventually joined by security forces from Barksdale Air Force Base.
Troops with the 2nd Security Forces Squadron of Barksdale Air Force Base captured Henry after he jumped the fence onto the installation. The Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office says Henry will be booked on several charges stemming from the warrants for car theft, burglaries, flight from an officer, that occurred here in Bossier Parish and in Texarkana, Texas.
