Louisiana is no walk in the park when it comes to animal welfare. Tens of thousands of homeless animals enter Louisiana shelters every single year, with annual intake estimates historically exceeding 98,000 dogs and cats.

Shelters across our state are facing critical capacity issues. Right now, Louisiana needs roughly 12,900 additional adoptions, or out-of-state transport flights, just to clear overcrowded kennels and bridge the gap toward a 90% "no-kill" status. While about half of our state's official shelters currently meet that threshold, the fight is far from over.

Waived Fees: Adoption fees are 100% waived for Saturday only!

Fully Vetted: Every dog and cat will be spayed/neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated before heading home with you.
