When I got an email from Melody Windham, the Assistant Branch Manager for the Tooke Branch of the Bossier Parish Libraries, asking if we could help to promote this Saturday's "All Together Now" event for the entire community, it literally took me less than a second to consider the request.

Of course we can! This event, sponsored by Bossier Parish Libraries, is designed to give all the public information on a number of organizations including the Bossier Parish Sheriff's Office, the LSU Ag Center, Pak's Karate, Job Corps and many others.

It's absolutely free to the public, open to all ages, and will feature informational tables, activities for the children, and a snow cone truck.

LifeShare Blood Center will also be there to take blood donations. And, while it lasts, there will be FREE food from a number of local restaurants including Monjuni's, Pizza Hut, Brookshire's Grocery, Olive Garden, El Patrillo Mexican Restaurant and more.

Where And When Will This Take Place?

This event is planned for this Saturday, May 6 from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm at the Tooke Branch of the Bossier Parish Libraries at 451 Fairview Point Road in Elm Grove, Louisiana.

Who Has A Higher Crime Rate: Bossier City or Shreveport?

These measurements are from the latest FBI Uniform Crime Reporting (UCR) data from both Shreveport and Bossier City. The latest release for the pair was from 2019. While Shreveport has continued to release FBI UCR data, Bossier City has not released information since. Using the per capita measurement to fairly assess the populations of each city, here are the crime rates per 100,000 residents in both Shreveport and Bossier City for each UCR Violent Crime statistic.
