DOTD highlights that this closure is anticipated to be in place from approximately 7:00 am to 3:00 pm for this one day only and is necessary to allow crews to mill and pave the roadway to smooth out the railroad crossing. Anyone who has crossed this track recently will truly appreciate the effort.

This crossing is located approx. 800 feet east of the intersection with LA 782-2 (Industrial Drive).

This is a total road closure and all vehicles will need to utilize an alternate route. Detour signage will be in place.

As with all projects of this nature, the work will be performed "Weather Permitting" so any inclement weather could postpone, extend or alter in other ways the scheduled work day/hours.

DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution through the construction site and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Remember to leave plenty of room between you and the vehicle in front of you.

Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking, or biking near an active construction zone.
