Bossier City is Getting Another Patriotic Water Tower

The artwork has been released for Bossier City's latest water tower masterpiece honoring our local military and first responders and it's gorgeous! Mayor Lo Walker, Bossier City Council President David Montgomery, and the Bossier City Council released this artist rendering yesterday, Tuesday, March 16, 2021.
The water tower set to be rehabbed and repainted is located on Airline Drive at Barksdale Boulevard. The patriotic theme follows the one being used on several other water towers in Bossier City, including the award-winning tower on Shed Road that can be seen from I-220. That tower beat out 300 towers from around the country and was named TNEMEC’s People’s Choice Award for Tank of the Year last October 2020. Our tower is being featured alongside the eleven runners-up in Tnemec's annual water tank calendar.
The water towers have created a lot of civic pride in our area. While I'm a Bossier Parish resident, not an official Bossier City girl, I have personally enjoyed seeing the projects progress. The designs are perfect for a town that's home to Barksdale Air Force Base. Let's shine a light on our hometown. It's a great place to live!
