Blanchard, Haughton and Minden Are Among Safest Cities in Louisiana

If you're looking for a safe place in Louisiana to raise your kids or spend your golden years, three of the top cities in the state are right here in the Northwest corner of the state.

According to data released by the FBI for the year 2013 on the website onlyinyourstate.com, Blanchard is the second safest place to live in the whole state with 0 violent crimes per 1,000 people.

Haughton was fifth on the list with only .85 violent crimes per 1,000 persons and Minden was the tenth safest city in Louisiana with 2.39 violent crimes per 1,000 persons.
