Baby Boomers Will Explode Medical Job Market

Heads up if you are considering a career change. Very interesting story by Mark Koba on CNBC today. With the number of retirees projected to almost double by 2030 there appears to be a huge healthcare need on the horizon. So, if you have children entering college or if you are considering a career change, the healthcare industry shows promise of enormous growth.

According to Koba's research 10, 000 baby boomers retire every day, with a target 70 million people expected to by age 65 or older by 2030. Today, there are 34 million people in the 65+ age category.

Unfortunately along with retirement comes age related illnesses. Looking forward to how we will service this growing retired and aging population, home healthcare is where its at. Home healthcare includes all levels of care: doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners, therapists, along with management personnel. So, if you are not interested in hands on medical care, there will still be a place for you in this pending market growth.
