For women in the Shreveport-Bossier City area, one of the greatest honors is to be given the ATHENA Award from the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce.

The Greek goddess Athena is known for her wisdom, warfare, and handicraft. She is also known as a symbol of freedom and democracy.

Being an ATHENA Award recipient puts you in prestigious company. The ATHENA Award is given to women by the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce to recognize those who demonstrate professional excellence, engage in community service, and actively help others, especially other women, realize their leadership potential.
