Applying For A Job? An Apartment? Need A Great Reference? Check This Out!

First off, this is by no means an advertisement.  But, it's so far out that I just thought I had to share it.  Plus, I know a few unmentionable folks who probably couldn't get a job OR an apartment if their life depended on it -- IF they relied on someone to vouch for them.  (And yes, I've already told them about this) 

There’s a website called CareerExcuse.com and they’ll provide you with a fake reference for a job or apartment search.  You get an 800 number to a fake company, the HR rep or landlord can call, and they’ll give you a glowing reference, without pouring it on too think that the caller becomes suspicious. 

Their packages start at $85 and go up from there.  If money is not an issue, you can get a unique 800 number, pick the name of their fake company, and make sure a live receptionist answers the call.
