Amber Alert Issued For Texas Teen

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 16-year-old girl who was reportedly abducted and may now be here in the Arklatex. 

According to the Texas Amber Alert website, Inez Ramirez was abducted from Red Oak, Texas around 8:20 a.m. Tuesday.  Her alleged abductor is 23-year-old Edgar Barton. Officials say the two may be near the Cass, Marion, Panola or Harrison counties.

Officials say Barton is driving a red 2006 Chevy Silverado truck. The license plate number is unknown at this time.

Ramirez is 5'2", 130 lbs., has shoulder-length brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a green shirt, black shorts and  flip flops.

Barton is 5'9", 145 lbs. has black hair and brown eyes.

Police say they believe Ramirez is in grave or immediate danger.
