Shreveporter Natalie Hanson was a featured American Idol contestant (who also got a golden ticket to Hollywood) on Thursday Night's episode, but it was another young lady from Louisiana that had Jennifer Lopez crying at her audition.

New Orleans resident Paris Tassin performed Carrie Underwood's "Temporary Home" for the Idol judges.  Paris' backstory made the performance even more poignant.  Paris is a 23 year old medical assistant and single mother to a special needs child.

Tassin told the judges that she likes to sing country and pop.  She also shed a tear, saying, "I do that for my daughter.  I want to teach her to go for her dreams."

Tassin is one step closer to her dreams after being given the Golden Ticket to Hollywood.
