It's no secret that Shreveport-Bossier was a hot spot during the prohibition era and we love uncovering history. Do you ever wonder what those nights sounded like? Shreveport DJ Lomax found the actual recording of what the Shreveport speakeasy sounded like at the time. This was recorded by a man named John Lomax who went on to share these recordings with the Library of Congress, we don't know if there is any relation, but how cool would it be if they were related?

Three Shreveport Chefs Plan to Bring Back a Shreveport Speakeasy for a Special Valentine's Dinner.
Chef John Strand named this special Valentine's Day dinner after a speakeasy that once called Shreveport home. Chef Strand, Chef Jon Ortiz, and Chef Dylan Teekell have teamed up for an epic menu many in Shreveport have never seen. We are talking Beef Wellington, Cherry, and Duck Confit Salad, I mean the menu looks incredible.
We Are Traveling Back to the Roaring 20s.
The dinner will be at an unassuming location, with a faux brick wall, and some of the best food, prohibition cocktails, wine, and champagne, and music you can get. Seats are minimal if you want to get in on this super secret Valentine's dinner reserve your seat now.
How Will You Be Able to Get in on This Dinner?
You have to email Chefortiz@ghostramensbc.com for an invoice. The ticket for the evening will cost you $160 per person and you won't know where the speakeasy is until a few hours before the event.
All we know right now is that the Blue Goose Valentine's Day Special Dinner is on February 14th, 2023. The location provided upon purchase and dinner time is 7:00pm.
