First Responders were able to rescue and bring to safety, one adult male who was checked out by Shreveport Fire Paramedics on scene but due to the rising and fast-moving waters the second male victim briefly surfaced and then went under and sadly never resurfaced.
Hopefully, the new owners will recognize it's historic value to the community, and will treat it with love and care, so it will continue to be around for many, many more years to come.
