The 2019 Walk-On's Independence Bowl will the the 44th anniversary of Shreveport's only regular college football game. This year's game will be played on Thursday, December 26th with a 3pm local kickoff.

For the 28th straight year, the game will be broadcast nationally on ESPN. The first ever ESPN Indy Bowl broadcast came in 1992, a game that featured Oregon vs Wake Forest.

The 2019 version of the Indy Bowl expects a match up of the SEC vs ACC, but over the last few years it has been a game involving a lot of secondary teams. The secondary agreements for the Independence Bowl are with Conference USA and the American Athletic Conference.

With a 3pm kickoff for this year's Indy Bowl, it will be the latest kickoff the game has seen since 2016. The last two Indy Bowls have kicked off at 12:30pm in Shreveport.

Tickets for the Walk-On's Independence Bowl start at $30, and will go on sale later this year.
