McGraw, FGL and More Win at 2016 American Music Awards

Tim McGraw and Florida Georgia Line took home trophies during the 2016 American Music Awards ceremony, held on Sunday night (Nov. 20) -- but Carrie Underwood was country music's biggest winner of the evening.

Underwood, who was not in attendance at the awards show, earned both the Favorite Female Artist -- Country and Favorite Album -- Country trophies at the 2016 AMAs. Those two wins bring her American Music Awards total to 11; Underwood has won Favorite Female Artist -- Country four times now.

During the AMAs broadcast, McGraw earned Favorite Song -- Country for "Humble and Kind," and had a list of people to thank: the song's writer, Lori McKenna, "for writing down this beautiful prayer for her children;" his daughters, "who are an inspiration to me every day" (and one of whom, Maggie, was with him at the ceremony); and his wife, Faith Hill.

"And all you fans out there who love music ...," McGraw concluded. "It's a privilege for us to be a part of your lives and part of your memories."

FGL, meanwhile, received Favorite Duo or Group -- Country, after helping to present an honor earlier in the evening.

"This is extra special; I swear, this is icing on the cake for us ... This is super humbling," Brian Kelley said from stage, before thanking the duo's fans ("You guys are everything to us") and his and Tyler Hubbard's wives. Hubbard added in thanks to "the Lord and our Savior, for letting us do what we love. We never, ever wanna take it for granted."

Although he was not in attendance at the 2016 American Music Awards ceremony either, Blake Shelton won Favorite Male Artist -- Country. A complete list of this year's country nominees and winners is below.
