You Won’t Believe What You Can Get at the State Fair This Year
It's hard to believe the Red River Revel has already come and gone, but that means the State Fair of Louisiana is just around the corner. The Revel was blessed with amazing weather, the fair hasn't been so lucky over the years. Let's hope that changes with this year's run. A quick look at the Farmer's Almanac calls for tropical storm weather around Halloween with above average rain... of course.

This year's entertainment features several free concerts with fair admission, including Shayliff, Charlotte's Web, Kraig Parker, the Ultimate Elvis Tribute, and local favorite Frank Foster.

In addition to live concerts, there is a ton of live entertainment. The 2022 State Fair will feature:
and the Johnny Rockets Motorcycle Circus, as well as magicians, escape artists, the State Fair Zoo, and pig races.
Of course there's the midway with all those famous state fair rides. Roller-coasters, ferris wheels, and all manner of rides that spin and twist and twirl, guaranteed to test your Dramamine.
You can't have a state fair without live-stock. There'll be the annual live-stock show, the 2022 National Brahman Show, and of course the LRCA Rodeo.
And then, there's the State Fair food... oh, that State Fair Food... Of course you'll find the fried cheese and turkey legs, pizza, ice-cream, and all sorts of exotic delights... but this year, will be something different. Pickle Pizza... yes, I said Pickle Pizza.
OK, I'm not judging. After all, I love peanut-butter and pickle sandwiches. I love fried pickles. I love pizza... I love pickles... so why not a pickle pizza? Let's don't judge it 'til we try it!
The State Fair of Louisiana runs October 27th- November 13th.
