Yeero-Yeero Opening Second Location in Bossier City
If you grew up in Shreveport-Bossier or have lived here for even a handful of years, you know that our local food scene isn't built on flashy corporate chains, it's built on family legacies. Now, the iconic Greek staple is officially crossing the river. A fresh “Coming Soon” sign has officially popped up near Industrial Drive in Bossier City, marking the future home of Yeero-Yeero’s second location. And for Bossier residents who have been braving Youree Drive traffic during peak lunch hours just to satisfy a gyro craving, this expansion is nothing short of a game-changer.
Carrying On a 29-Year Legacy
The story behind Yeero-Yeero isn't just about great food, it's about family dedication. Founded by Athanasios “Tom” Triperinas and his family, the restaurant was built on sheer grit and a passion for hospitality. Tom worked 12-hour days for 25 years to build a place where the community felt genuinely welcomed. In a touching announcement sharing news of the Bossier site, the Triperinas family reflected on how much this milestone would have meant to the late founder, writing:
"My Dad would be so proud that we are opening another location. This was his life... He cared deeply about the community, and we want to continue the work he started." It’s that exact heart and soul that turns a simple neighborhood eatery into an institution.
Why Bossier City Is the Perfect Next Step
Industrial Drive in Bossier City is quickly becoming a bustling hub for quick-service and casual local dining. Putting a Greek favorite right off a major Bossier artery gives shift workers, office crews, and suburban families a fresh, flavorful alternative to traditional drive-thru fare.
While an official grand opening date hasn't been set yet, the arrival of the sign means preparations are well underway.
