Sometimes, people who are lawfully married like to spend time alone without the kids. What PG term do you use for 'it' at your house in front of the kids?

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes baby in the baby carriage... and we all know what you did to get that baby! As we get older, our lives become more scheduled and so do our partners. You may have to start scheduling time for intimacy. Then comes kids and at that point, you may not have another moment of privacy for the next 18 years! From crying babies to kids climbing into your bed in the middle of the night, finding time to physically strengthen your relationship can be a battle. Especially, when it's hard enough just to go to the bathroom alone!

So, when it's time to 'strengthen those marital bonds,' what do you say to each other that's kid-friendly? After all, little pitchers have BIG EARS! You surely don't want your kid saying something potentially embarrassing to your pastor or their teacher! With that being said, I thought I'd check in with Shreveport-Bossier's finest on Facebook to see what terms they use at their house for mommy and daddy alone time!

One friend, who wishes to remain anonymous, said, 'Ok, so I can’t comment on ur post, but I’ve got two kids and when we shut the bedroom door they can hear it from miles away and instantly need in my room or need my help. So my husband tells them all the time, your mom's got a headache, I’ll be there in a minute.' That poor dear! Maybe she needs to see a doctor!

Jeremy Bourque says that they say, 'It's time to play Yahtzee!' Aubrey Garcia and her husband say, 'It's time to take a nap with a capitol N.' And in Donna Holt-Hampton's house, they'd say it was, 'time for dessert!' Brandi Brooks and her husband ask each other if they, 'want to wrestle!'

A few of the terms I found online that made me giggle were, 'Googling,' 'Time to Feed the Cat,' 'Stirring the Pot,' and 'A Private's Party.'

It sounds like Shreveport-Bossier can get pretty creative when it comes to protecting the kiddos from more 'adult' activities. What term do you use in your home? You can read the full list here:
