Caddo Sheriff’s Char-Broil Fundraiser: Today The Caddo Sheriff’s Office will hold a chicken char-broil from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm today. Money raised will support the Salvation Army’s Angel Tree program. Lunches are $8 and will include chicken, potato salad, baked beans, bread, and cake. (more)

South Highlands Summer Market: Shreveport’s new summertime Open-Air Market at the mall St Vincent is going through August 8th, every Friday evening from 5:00 to 9:00 pm under a large tent outside the mall adjacent to the historic St. Vincent Academy. (more)

Shreveport Farmers Market: The Saturday morning event at Festival Plaza kicks off at 7am features live music, homegrown fruits and vegetables. As well as, jams, jellies, prepared food, art and more. (more)

Slow Pitch Softball Tournament For St. Jude: For men and women Sat and Sunday at the Minden Recreation Center. They will be having a meet and greet on Sunday @ 2pm with Mountain Man of Duck Dynasty! Come on out and have a great time with us playing ball for a cause!(more)

Gun Show: If you’re looking to buy or trade your firearm Riverview Hall is the place to be this weekend. The Gun Show at 600 Clyde Fant Parkway starts Saturday and goes from 9-5. Sunday the doors open an hour later, 10-5. It’ll cost ya $8.00 to get in both days. (more)
