Danny Huffstickler is a well known local guy.  Growing up in Shreveport, he was very athletic playing football, baseball, and basketball. He went on to pursue his sports in college at Baptist Christian University as was eventually drafted to play baseball for the Boston Red Sox.  After his baseball "playing career"  ended, he continued on as a coach.  He's touched countless lives in a positive way.   In June of 2010, Danny was diagnosed with ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease).  ALS is a disease in which certain nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord slowly die. These nerve cells are called motor neurons and they control the muscles that allow you to move the parts of your body.  Well, for the second year in a row, friends of Danny hope you'll join them for the "Tuff Huff Co-ed Softball Tournament" to help stamp out ALS.  This year's tournament will be held June 9 and 10 at Cargill Park in Shreveport.  If you'd like to enter your team or just make a donation just go to HelpHuff.com and help rid the world of this horrible disease.
