The State Fair of Louisiana Set to Open This Thursday, Oct. 23

For a lot of us, this week is nearly on par with Christmas! It's "Fair Week!" The Louisiana State Fair opens this Thursday, October 23 and will run through Sunday, November 9. However, you don't want to forget that the Fair is closed each Monday and Tuesday for the entirety of its run.

Along with the great midway, the livestock exhibits, the free concerts including Cole Vosbury on October 24 and Frank Foster on November 1, Cody Cooke and the Bayou Outlaws and Wayne Toups on November 8, you'll enjoy awesome "fair" food, there's street performers, some of the best rides in the South, the PRCA Rodeo and a slew of other competitive events including the following:
