Trey McGuire had a dream.  A dream to embrace airmen from Barksdale Air Force Base; to love and care for them and their families.  What began as a small dream with a few friends has now grown into a group of churches and community members working together toward one goal--nurturing our men and women in the military and their families.  The dream has now become The Warrior Network.

Trey planted the seeds of what would become the Warrior Network while on the staff of a church in Bossier City.  He befriended a few airmen that attended the church.  They became close friends, and soon more and more airmen and their families were attending the church.

Then Trey accepted a position on staff at a church on the other side of Shreveport, and began a small group there.  Airmen began coming to that group, and it began to grow immediately.  As it grew, more and more community members became involved, and as they met together they decided to build an organization devoted exclusively to serving the military.  That organization is The Warrior Network.  The signature event that the Network hosts is the annual Warrior's Thanksgiving Feast that began in 2014.

This year, the 4th Annual Warrior's Thanksgiving feast will be served on November 19th at the Shreveport Convention Center.  The event features a free turkey and dressing dinner, door prizes, live music, and guest speakers.  And it's all free for  active/guard/reserves military members and their families.  To register to attend the feast, or to volunteer to serve at the event, visit the Warrior's Thanksgiving Feast web site.
