
Research Suggests Texas People Work Much Harder Than Louisiana
Combing through the results of a recent research piece by Wallethub.com, it would appear that Texas people work much harder than Louisianans.

To determine which were the hardest working cities in America, Wallethub.com considered a number of key metrics including number of hours worked, amount of leisure time, percentage of engaged workers, amount of unused vacation time and work commute times.
And what they found was a vast number of Texas cities were among the country's hardest working, while Louisiana only posted one city in the Top 100.
Results Show Anchorage, Alaska Is Hardest Working City In America
In the research piece, it was determined that Anchorage, Alaska was the hardest working city in America due to the facts that:
it’s one of only five states where the average person works more than 40 hours per week. Anchorage also has a very high employment rate, at nearly 97%, so almost all working-age residents are busy with a job – or even multiple jobs.
However, Texas posted two cities in the Top 5, a total of four cities in the Top 10, and a whopping thirteen cities in the Top 100.

How Did Louisiana's Work Ethic Rank In This Research?
And with this comes the rub. If Texas has thirteen of America's hardest working cities, how does Louisiana fare?
According to the metrics used for this piece, not very well. Louisiana only placed one city in the Top 100. New Orleans barely squeaked in at #98 and Baton Rouge gets an honorable mention with a 106th place finish.
So, truth be told, it would certainly appear that Texans really do work harder than Cajuns. Course, we party harder than they do, so that sort of makes us even.
