A 16 year old North Dallas cheerleader has set a world record for back handsprings. Miranda Ferguson, a junior at the Hockaday all-girls school, attempted her record setting talent at halftime of the St. Marks School of Texas game against the Oakridge School.

Miranda had performed 20 back handsprings in a row at the same game last year.  When one of her cheermates discovered that the record was only 32 handsprings, Miranda trained for an entire year to attempt breaking the record at this year's halftime.  Miranda was succesful, stringing together 35 consecutive back handsprings... all while the Guiness Book of World Records was watching.
