Blood supplies are critically low here in the Ark-La-Tex so LifeShare Blood Centers are doing all the can to re-stock their supplies.  And today, Monday, August 6 from 2 to 6pm it's a "Pint for a Pint".  A free pint of Baskin Robbins Ice Cream for a pint of blood.

Gary McCoy entered the last year of his 40's today! Happy 49th birthday Gary! Wow, 49 years! I don't know the exact number, but I'm pretty sure at this point Gary has spent half his life "on the air" as a radio broadcaster. Impressive! Share your birthday wish with Gary!

The Olympic Torch Run is an age-old tradition and a proud moment for athletes all across the globe. Not to be outdone, Turner and McCoy, joined by "The Boy" Craig McCoy, felt it was our civic duty to bring a dose of this honor right here to Kiss Country. Welcome to the 1st Annual Redneck Torch Run.

It never fails, you find a favorite treat or a favorite restaurant and the next thing you know it is pulled off the market or closes. Shameful! You couldn't be the only person who loved Bennigan's? Maybe you were the only one? What places or products do you wish for a comeback from?

In preparation for the Summer Olympic Games and our Redneck Torch run tomorrow, we've started collecting supplies. Based on your suggestions we have a very interesting collection of "redneck supplies": a big ole net, a flashlight/shotgun shell torch, duck tape, etc. Check out our progress and be sure to add to our list. You wouldn't wanna miss your chance to be part of this redneck chaos

This time every year, our community’s blood supply gets extremely low.  People are out of town on vacation, our schedules change since kids are out of school, it's too hot; there's an infinite amount of reasons why.  But the reality is that the demand for blood doesn't slow down at all.   That's why we hope you'll join us this Saturday for Lifeshare Blood Center's “Blitz for Blood” blood drive.
