When I moved back to Louisiana the third time in 2004, one of my favorite things to do was roll the back roads after a long week at work to go visit my brother's family in Heflin, LA. There's just something about the beauty of the back roads in Louisiana.

The  "Christmas in Plain Dealing" Festival will be held November 26 from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm in the downtown park.   This year's festival includes all kinds of activities including art displays from local artists including Doyle Ethridge of Belcher, Denise Hill of Bossier City and Alma Lenear from Minden.
