It has been nearly three weeks since Hurricane Ida battered the southeastern portion of Louisiana. And while power has been restored to much of the region, in New Orleans, residents are still waiting for trash pickups to resume.

In case you live under a rock, or care very little about the NFL, something big happened on opening weekend.

Louisiana was set to hold primaries in October, however, Hurricane Ida had other plans.

Saturday's Cajun Navy Supply drive at the Bossier Farmers' Market for Hurricane Ida relief was a huge success! Once again our area showed up and showed out when it came to our generosity.

We're now almost a week removed from Hurricane Ida, yet millions of Louisianians are still trying to get back on track.

Cajun Navy Supply will have team members at the Bossier Farmers' Market Saturday collecting donations for our brothers and sisters in south Louisiana for Hurricane Ida relief. If you're not familiar with the Cajun Navy, they're faster than FEMA and are Louisiana's own band of superheroes, they just wear waders instead of capes!

Once again this week, Louisiana was in the center of yet another epic tragedy. It's during the aftermath of these events that we see the best that human nature has to offer as well as the very worst... and sometimes it's hard to tell the difference.

Hurricane Ida stormed through the state of Louisiana yesterday and left a ferocious trail of destruction.

Volunteers from across the state including Shreveport hit South Louisiana late Sunday (8/29/21) night, and have been helping with clean up throughout the night.

The storm hit early Sunday (8/29/2021) afternoon, and people in those areas near the gulf are reporting damage and power outages.
