It was a random day in April that 'Fred' came up in our timeline on Facebook. Fred was at the Bastrop Kill Pen and available for a small window for rescue before being shipped to Mexico for slaughter...

I can't believe we just did this. It was just two years ago that my mother and I rescued an Arabian mare from the Kauffman Kill Pen and here we go again rescuing another horse, sight unseen, from the Bastrop lot.

Next weekend, Holly Hill Equestrian Center is looking for volunteers for their 21st Annual Holly Hill Spring Horse Trials!

Not only was I member of Pony Club as a child, I'm now a proud adult member of the Pony Club Horse Masters Program!

When I was a girl, I was in Pony Club and now as an adult, I'm a member of the 'Horse Masters' program for adults in Pony Club. This weekend I had the honor of being the announcer at the 2016 Holly Hill Farm Fall Horse Trials in Benton, LA and it was an incredible weekend of eventing!

Over the weekend, I took part in the Halloween horse show at Double Rainbow Farm in Haughton. The highlight? The costume contest for horses and their riders!

I'm blessed to know Michelle Barr, the owner of Right Lead Equestrian Center in Minden, LA. Michelle worked in Baton Rouge for several and has had several friends and horse owners reach out for assistance.
