This morning, Gary and I opened the phone lines to take your calls about different fundraisers and community events coming up in northwest Louisiana and there's a lot of different ways to make a difference for locals here in the next few weeks.

This morning, Gary and I decided to turn our show over to folks who have a need right here in Kiss Country. After all, one thing that we're known for here in northwest Louisiana is taking care of our own.

Each year Kiss Country and the other Townsquare Media Radio Stations all team with the Shreveport Police and Fire Departments and the Bossier Sheriff's Department to raise money to purchase Christmas gifts for local, less fortunate kids. The 30 year old joint venture is entitled "Operation Santa Claus."

Motorcycle Pastors Jerry and Tina Kennedy continue to recover from injuries suffered in a wreck involving an alleged drunk driver, and they need the community's help.

Whether a friend or family member has been diagnosed with Cancer, we've all seen it's devastating effects, so our battle continues.
