What are you going to do with all that left over turkey? Sandwiches are pretty good for a little while, but I just read a few new ways to put that Thanksgiving turkey to good use.: slow cooker turkey soup with dumplings, turkey pot pie, or maybe turkey nachos?

Tis the season. . .the season to read about another garage turkey fryer explosion fire. Hopefully word has spread of the potential dangers of frying turkeys and everyone is actually doing it the right way now, cautiously.

I remember the first time I experienced this wonderful, rich banana pudding. My friend Jennifer Roman brought it to work and I was hooked. At first I thought it was the fancy cookies that I liked so much. But, turns out it is the cream cheese, whipped cream and condensed milk that really make this banana pudding the BEST EVER! (Or maybe it was Jennifer's magic touch?)

Okay, maybe you have heard about my obsession with Chile Verde's Chicken Nachos. Of course, it couldn't be a local place that I crave throughout my pregnancy. I have received some good listener suggestions substitutes for my beloved nachos, but none has equaled the original.

My grandmother was a country cook, everything tasted sooooo good and most of the ingredients were cataloged in her mind. It took my mom years to recreate the ingredients of my grandmothers chicken and dressing. This recipe makes a TON of dressing, but it freezes very well (freeze it unbaked).

Turns out a member of Luke's crew has a pretty significant obsession with all things Paula Deen and during a recent trip through Savannah Luke and his entire band made the trip to eat at Paula's restaurant. I learn something new every day. Every family has its traditions and until today, I never heard of "Texas Trash". But, as Gary McCoy and I were talking about some of our very favorite holiday foods, he told me about this spicy crunchy concoction and I cannot wait to try it.

My coworker, who is a life-long McRib lover, may have just ruined my chance of ever trying a McRib. Some truths are better left in the dark for me. I'm going to have a really hard time dining on something described as a "meat log" and "restructured meat product". Still, the McRib frenzy cannot be denied.

Hamburgers and Hotdogs are for amateur tailgaters and we take tailgating just as seriously as our football in Kiss Country. I know who to go to for the best Jambalaya, who does the best fish fry and whose 7 layer dip is heavenly. Everyone seems to have their specialty come game day...

It's what you crave when you are homesick or recovering from the Flu. It's the reason you look forward to the Holidays. Momma's cookin'. Every mom has her specialties and my mom, affectionately referred to as "Momma Sue" by her grand-babies makes a couple masterpieces: Chicken N Dumplings and The Best EVER Chicken Dressing (my grandmother's recipe).
