On Sunday, May 14, 2023, shortly after 3:30 p.m., Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop G began investigating a two-vehicle fatal crash on U.S. Hwy 80.

Upon arrival they found the passenger in one of the vehicles trapped and unresponsive.

This crash claimed the life of 48-year-old Allen Boyd, Jr., on Tuesday (1/4/22) who was not wearing his seat belt.
