Stupid Louisiana Man Tries To Lock Customers In Starbucks
On occasion we read about a criminal so stupid, they actually embarrass other criminals.
Case and point is what just took place right here in the Bayou State.
The Slidell Police Department in Louisiana has made national news after a particularly zany arrest they made this week.
In a post on Facebook, the Slidell Police Department reports that Wednesday, August 21, officers were called to the Starbucks at the Fremaux Town Center entrance in reference to reports that a male subject had attempted to lock customers and employees of the Starbucks inside the business....with a bicycle chain.
In a report from wdsu.com, we read that after placing the bicycle lock on the front doors, the male subject left the area.
The quick thinking customers and employees who had been locked inside simply exited the business using a secondary door.
Apparently there were at least two other doors and the drive-thru window available for them to choose from. Guess our idiotic, would be hostage taker never thought of that.
Ultimately, Slidell Police officers were able to quickly locate the subject, who has been identified as 23-year-old James Thrash (Slidell, LA), and arrested him on the charges of LRS 14:40.1 (Terrorizing), LRS 14:27/14:46 (Attempted False Imprisonment), and 14:59 (Criminal Mischief).
It is suspected that Thrash committed this criminal act due to being previously dispersed from the property.
