The Shreveport Police Department Violent Crime Abatement Team, partnered with multiple Shreveport Police officers, Shreveport City Marshals, and agents with the ATF to conduct an operation on January 16th, 2023, to combat violent crimes in the area. The operation resulted in eight arrests of individuals for felony crimes. The offenders and their crimes are listed below:

Offense: Possession of a stolen firearm

Akchanel Bush B/F DOB 04/17/1987

Offense: Pandering

Akilia Merriett B/F DOB 12/19/1987

Offense: Prostitution Possession of schedule II

Omari James B/M DOB 01/27/1998

Offense: Warrant Juvenile Court

Lajonicka Sharp B/F DOB 01/18/2002

Offense: Warrant from Caddo

Torri Pierce B/M DOB 12/06/1994

Offense: Poss. of schedule I with intent to distribute

Michael Stewart B/M DOB 01/26/1997

Offense: Poss. of schedule I and a Warrant: Domestic Violence Agg. Assault, Burglary

17-year-old (Juvenile)

Offense: Warrant-Burglary

This operation also utilized the Real Time Crime Center in order to further investigations resulting in the seizures of MDMA, 56 grams of marijuana, and a stolen 9mm semi-auto.
