Every so often, a crime occurs in Northwest Louisiana that leaves the entire community scratching their heads in disbelief. While theft is always frustrating, certain cases feel extra egregious because of the lines the suspect was willing to cross. This is precisely one of those cases.

On July 15, 2026, Shreveport Police investigators say an unidentified woman walked into the BOM Bank located at 4321 Youree Drive. According to authorities, she presented a fraudulent military ID, impersonated another individual, and successfully walked away with an $8,500 cash advance drawn directly from the victim’s credit line.

Take a moment to let that sink in: Stolen valor. Stolen identity. Stolen money.

Countless brave men and women have sacrificed precious years away from their families, endured grueling deployments, suffered life-altering injuries, and in the most devastating cases, made the ultimate sacrifice for our country. Utilizing a fake military ID as a cheap prop to rob someone of their hard-earned money and identity isn't just illegal it’s completely shameless.

There is zero honor in pretending to have earned a uniform that others paid for with immense sacrifice. You didn’t serve. You didn’t put in the work. Yet, as police allege, you used the illusion of military service to pocket thousands of dollars that weren't yours.

If there is one thing Shreveport-Bossier does exceptionally well, it’s looking out for one another and standing up for our local military community. Misusing military credentials to commit fraud is something our area simply will not tolerate.

Now, law enforcement needs our community's eyes on this case. Take a close look at the surveillance photos provided by investigators. If you recognize this woman or have any information regarding her whereabouts, don't hesitate to get in touch with the Shreveport Police Department directly or leave an anonymous tip with Caddo-Shreveport Crime Stoppers.
