On April 27th, 2023, around 7:00 p.m. Shreveport Police Community Response officers responded to a burglary in progress in the 700 block of Dalzell Street. The caller told dispatchers that her ex-boyfriend forced his way into the residence and was assaulting the victim.

Officers arrived and contacted Mark Lawson (6-28-69) leaving the area. They discovered that Lawson had reportedly entered the residence without consent. Lawson is believed to have thrown a plant through a window of the residence and forced his way inside of the residence before threatening the victim. CRU Officers investigation discovered multiple facts and circumstances that led to the arrest of Lawson.

After responding officers conducted their investigation Lawson was arrested for one count of Home Invasion, and one count of Property Damage.

All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
