Shreveport Plumbing Employee Arrested For Stealing From Company
The office of Caddo Parish Sheriff Steve Prator has announced the arrest of a local man due to financial crimes against his employer. The alleged scheme involved a company debit card, cash-back transactions, and at least 75 transactions at local hardware stores.
The Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office says 44-year-old Brad Peccio of Bossier City was arrested for Felony Theft based on the evidence from their investigation. Detectives from the Caddo-Shreveport Financial Crimes Task Force conducted the investigation, and believe that Peccio stole over $7,000 from his employer, Magnolia Plumbing of Shreveport.
Investigators say the Peccio had been using a company issued debit card for personal purposes for months. His employer had issued a debit card for Peccio to purchase supplies at hardware stores to complete plumbing projects. In January 2023, it was uncovered that Peccio had been using the card for personal purposes. During the investigation, the Task Force found that Peccio had paid person bills with the company card. He also initiated cash-back transactions at least 75 times at local hardware stores.
According the the Caddo Parish Sheriff's Office, it wasn't hard to arrest Peccio on the Felony Theft charges, because he was already incarcerated at the Caddo Correctional Center on an unrelated charge.
