Shreveport Native Wallace Robertson + Other Local Runners Reportedly Unharmed by Boston Marathon Explosions

Wallace Robertson was lucky. The Shreveport man who made the trek out to Massachusetts for the 2013 Boston Marathon is reportedly unharmed by the two explosions that went off along the race route on Monday afternoon, killing at least two people and wounding more than 100.

Katy, the Program Director at the First United Methodist Church, reached out to KVKI via Facebook and told us that she received a message from Robertson saying he and fellow racer Jeff Thomas had finished before the blasts went off.

Yes we're ok, must have left area not long before it happened. There were 10 Shreveport-Bossier runners total and some were still out on course when it happened, I'm sure. Hoping to get updates about some of them. I know Shane [Christopher] Huff was well ahead of us but couple others finished not long after us... Jeff Thomas & I are ok; must have finished and left area about 30 min before explosions. we heard police cars as we were walking to hotel."

According to ArkLaTex Homepage, the nine racers from Shreveport were unharmed by the blasts. We're attempting to verify that information, and learn the conditions of the three racers from Bossier City who took part in the Boston Marathon.
